A Little Q&A Session w/ John...for the Northeastern Folk

I'm a yankee (fan) and I'm coming from up north. Which airport should I fly into?
You'll most likely find the best deal when flying into San Antonio (SAT). However, while closer to Sandia, Texas, flights to Corpus Christi (CRP) are indirect and more expensive.

Should I rent a car?
Yes. San Antonio is roughly two to two-and-a-half hours by car to the Sandia/Corpus Christi area.

Where should we stay?

If you are coming to Texas for an extended trip (coming earlier in the week or staying after the wedding), I recommend that you stay in San Antonio, preferably somewhere along the Riverwalk. Austin is also nearby and is the original weird city with plenty to do. Corpus Christi, where April hails from, is also a bustling coastal metropolis situated along the Gulf of Mexico. There's a really cool battleship that you visit. Once aboard, you can pose for great keepsake snapshots like this one.

However, the night of October 13, we recommend that you stay at the nearby Holiday Inn Express or La Quinta in Alice, Texas. Or any of the many fine hotels in Corpus Christi. Visit the Lodging section of this website for more info.

What should I wear?

While this isn't a stuffy black-tie affair, it still is a grandiose celebration of John and April and their love for each other (and for their two cats, the game of baseball, the beach, bicycling, musty cottages, traveling to the Kokomo, and watching the Real Housewives of NJ, NY, and the OC). So, with all that in mind, we ask that a male attendee wear slacks and a tie (jacket and/or cowboy hat optional). A female attendee should wear a purty dress (wildflower in hair optional).

What's the weather like in Sandia, Tejas?
The average temperature for October 13 in Sandia is 82 degrees during the day and 62 degrees in the evening. The record high was 98 degrees and the low was a bone-chilling 57. The little ladies might want to bring a shawl if we happen to set a new record and the temperature dips down into the mid-50s.
